As you may know by now, we are close to finishing our book, A New World Awakens - which is a collection of essays on Soul-centered living that we will publish soon.
There are so many things involved in bringing this book to the world: Things like reviewing what we've already developed, adding new information when it feels right, and looking into the different publishing options we have before us, just to name a few. Besides this, we are designing a workshop retreat that we would like to use in order to teach the material from this book.
Sounds like quite a bit of work, doesn't it? Well, it is. But we enjoy it very much!
This book has taken us through many different steps in the manifestation process. It has shown us very clearly how to create what we love, to share it with others, and to have a wonderful time doing it.
Even though there are moments when the whole process seems to take forever to complete, we are constantly reminded of how much joy we experience when we create something from a place of love.
Basic steps for creating a joyful experience
Here are the steps we use to create a joyful experience for ourselves.
We are assuming that you, like us, would like to experience more joy in the things that you do. So, what is the very first thing you need to do – or allow – in order to invite more joy into your life?
1. First, you need to look at the essence of what brings you joy.
In our case, it is writing and communicating about Spirit as a way to have helpful and meaningful encounters with others. We just love to do this.
So what is it that brings YOU joy?
Can you sit still for a moment in a quiet space (let's say a minute or two) and feel into this? Spend some time breathing and relaxing, and then really feel it with your heart: What do you enjoy doing?
Don't worry if you can't see the details, yet. Just go for essence. Examine your feelings, first. Maybe you enjoy bringing peace to others, or perhaps your joy lies in sharing the lighter side of life with friends. After all, laughter is a wonderful gift to share.
2. Now that you've checked in with your heart about essence, gently ask yourself about some of the details. What are some of the ingredients that might accompany the experience of joy you've identified?
For us, it is not enough to enjoy writing and communicating. In order to derive the greatest pleasure from it, we like to have certain other things in place. For example, we enjoy writing about things that inspire us, and we like to feel that our readers are inspired, too. Reaching the right readers with an inspirational message really helps us feel grounded in our experience of joy.
So, what ingredients might help YOU feel grounded in the experience of joy that you seek?
What are some of the practical things you might include that would facilitate this experience? Feel them; don't analyze them too much. What do you see in your mind's eye when you connect with the essence of joy that you envision?
3. Now that you can imagine some of the details, see if you can connect the essence of joy that you desire to experience with the different ingredients that are important to you.
For us to make that connection, we need to write in a quiet and contemplative environment. There, we can listen to our Souls' guidance. It's in a place of peace that we can more easily receive the messages of inspiration that bring us joy, and feel the energies of the readers with whom we will share these messages. In this moment of quiet encounter, our creation really begins to emerge.
Can you sit down and listen to what your Soul is telling you now? How it would like to support you in connecting the essence of your joy with the important details?
To fine-tune your ability to receive guidance on this, it helps if you imagine yourself as part of a Grander Creation. Feel yourself expanding beyond your personal boundaries, and allow yourself to blend with the energies that come in to support you.
Can you feel that you are assisted in manifesting your Soul's desires? Can you give yourself permission to experience your deepest joy?
4. Now that you've identified the essence of your joy, and clarified some of the important details, you are ready to see your creation taking shape.
For us, the joy in writing begins to move from inspiration to reality in the first moment we see our words flowing across the paper, or appearing on the computer screen. This is real. Our thoughts and feelings have arrived in the world to join us, and they are deeply connected to our experience of joy. Our creation is starting to take shape - manifesting as an article, an essay, or even a book.
See if you can discover how your creation is manifesting even now? In what ways are the essence and details of your desires taking shape in front of your eyes?
Maybe it isn't looking exactly the way you imagined, or perhaps it isn't appearing as fast as you would like. But hey, you're doing it. You're watching the birth of your creation, and feeling the joy that this new life brings into your world. Can you enjoy this moment? Can you feel the excitement of giving birth to your desires?
5. Well, congratulations: You are realizing your desires! Now that you are, the next thing you might ask is, “What's next?”
Know that the creation process doesn't stop here. Instead, you will probably feel motivated to take care of your creations; to tend them, or maybe even to share them with the world. If not, perhaps it will be enough to enjoy them by yourself. There's certainly nothing wrong with that.
Whatever you decide to do next on your journey, remember the joy you've had. This is the basis of every creation. Start where the joy is, and then go with it!
Lots of love,
Alexandra and Dan
